KUMC had its humble beginnings in 1905. Rev. Penny Cory came to the church as pastor in July 2013. We are a vital congregation filled with people who love the Lord Jesus Christ and seek to share the Gospel message, making disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world. We have a wonderful Music Ministry with a dedicated Adult Choir and Handbell Choir. Join us for worship on Sundays at 8:30am and 11am.

KUMC VBS 2019: The boys won the contest for bringing in the most offering for American Leprosy Missions and got to choose a male leader to get a pie in his face. Thanks Kyle, for being such a good sport.

On the fourth Tuesday of each month KUMC goes to Commonwealth Senior Living to celebrate the birthdays of those who have birthdays in the month.
Today, March 17, 2019, KUMC was blessed to have the Rappahannock River Ringers directed by Lyn Conley to play bells in our 11AM Worship Service. For the anthem, "Sing Away Sadness", our Choir joined in with the bells.
We had lots of fun and lots of love at our Children's Valentine's Party. Thanks to all the parents who brought their children and thanks for all of the workers who planned, decorated, brought food, and help clean up!!!

Pastor Penny Cory at Kilmarnock UMC baptizes Mom Debbie McKean and her two daughters Ellie and Kailie. Standing with us are her husband Jim, and Aunt Lynn Redmond. Debbie McKean is the daughter of former member Betsy Chambers and her husband Bob, who are both deceased.

Today was the first Sunday of Lent when we will be meditating upon Jesus' journey to the cross of Calvary. Today's choir anthem at Kilmarnock United Methodist Church was "Jesus Walked This Lonesome Valley." We are so blessed to have Denise Cromer as our awesome, talented Choir Director. I hope you are blessed as you listen.
This song, "Be Still For The Presence of the Lord" was sung by Pastor Penny and her husband Birt, as a prelude in the Worship Service of Kilmarnock United Methodist Church on August 21, 2016. Pastor Penny is playing her guitar and Birt is playing a pan flute. As we enter to worship, I love these words: "Be still for the power of the Lord is moving in this place. He comes to cleanse and heal, to minister His grace. No work's too hard for Him, in faith receive from Him. Be still, for the power of the Lord is moving in this place." We invite you to come to worship with us at KUMC, to hear God's Word, to fellowship with other Christians, to grow in your faith journey, to leave this place having experienced the power of God, and go out to share God's love with our neighbors! I feel so blessed to be apart of this great choir family at KUMC and to be able to sing under the direction of Denise Cromer. "Don't know when I'm leavin' but I'm ready to go; when I get to heaven I'll be welcome I know; I made my reservations long ago, the day I gave up sin, and when my mansion's ready this I know, I'm gonna move right in. I have a vision of a happy place, where friends and loved ones meet, right on the corner of Love Avenue and Hallelujah Street.
